The Associate Director provides leadership and mentorship to teammates, assists in the execution of the strategic plan, drives the team to achieve the University’s quantitative and qualitative goals, and upholds professionalism, compliance and ethics, accuracy and passion for higher education.

Essential Functions • Develop, direct and lead the coordination of student enrollment activities. • Ensure that objectives, plans, budgets, policies, practices and actions are consistent with University policies. • Participate in the development and execution of both short‑term and long‑term student recruitment strategy to ensure objectives are met, and implement approved programs. • Ensure quality hires and manage compensation and performance management programs. • Recruit and hire new staff, including interviewing prospects. • Delegate responsibilities to teammates. • Carry out management responsibilities including planning, assigning and directing work of subordinates; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. • Demonstrate Drexel University values in the completion of all job assignments. • Maintain a thorough and demonstrable knowledge of school programs, with the ability to match prospective student needs to the correct program fit. • Work with campus partners to manage and execute the communications and marketing strategies of the undergraduate admissions team. • Adhere to laws and regulations governing student recruitment activities. • Assist in creating and maintaining the admissions operations manual. • Develop and review weekly reports to ensure progress against goals and staff performance metrics. • Complete other projects and duties as assigned.

Please review the Equivalency Chart for additional information. • Minimum of 5 years of admissions experience. • Strong customer service and project management experience. • Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail. • Understanding of higher education. • Strong interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills. • Strong problem‑solving and process improvement skills. • Excellent time management and organizational skills. • Ability to plan effectively and manage projects skillfully. • High level of energy and willingness to work as part of a team. • Keen mind with a strong work ethic. • Ability to train, develop, lead and manage a team. • Capacity to be a self‑starter. • Ability to achieve success individually and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment. • Persistence combined with a positive attitude and approach to work and others; self‑motivating work style. • Superior research and analytical skills. • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 5–6 weeks during Fall recruitment and up to 3–4 weeks during Spring recruitment. • Ability to work evenings and weekends. • Valid Driver’s License. • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A.

Job Summary The Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions is responsible for the overall successful operation, training and monitoring of undergraduate admissions recruitment, selection and yield processes.

Key responsibilities include coordinating with departmental leadership to implement student enrollment strategies and manage resources in order to meet performance expectations. The Associate Director will provide leadership in the execution of the business plan, the control of the expenses and other managerial functions, as needed.

The Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions ensures that the philosophy and values of Drexel University are clearly communicated to potential students while demonstrating deep academic program knowledge.

This position requires moderate travel (up to 5 weeks in the Fall and 2–3 weeks in the Spring), as well as working evening and weekend hours as assigned. Required Qualifications • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience. Preferred Qualifications • Working knowledge of the Slate CRM.

Location • Hybrid/Flexible Work Arrangement. Additional Information This position is classified as Exempt, grade K. Compensation for this grade ranges from $60,240 to $90,350 per year. The offered rate will vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications, experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
