Stellenbeschreibung
What You Will Do
Full product availability. Zero food waste. Build the supply chain that delivers both.
KoRo is a better-for-you food brand on a fast track from a D2C-born challenger to a European omnichannel love brand – and increasingly a serious player on the retail shelf. Getting the right product to the right customer at the right time, across both our online store and the retail channel, is where that promise is won or lost every single day.
That is the heart of this role. As Director Supply Chain Planning, you own the two numbers that define a great food supply chain and usually pull against each other: product availability and inventory health. Customers should always find what they came for – and at the same time we refuse to accept overstock, write-offs and expiring products as a cost of doing business. Our north star is zero food waste, and you are the person who turns that ambition into an operating reality.
You lead the end-to-end supply chain of KoRo – including Supply and Inventory Planning (S&OP), as well as Product Ordering & Replenishment. Today, much of this runs on deep human expertise and a lot of manual work. Your mandate is to keep the operation sharp while building the next generation of it: an intelligent, largely automated supply chain that scales with our growth, so the team can spend its energy on the decisions that actually move the business.
Your tasks
- Own product availability and inventory as your core KPIs. You are accountable for product availability across channels and for the health of our inventory – with a relentless focus on full availability on our core assortment, while reducing overstock, slow movers and food waste on the path to our zero-waste goal.
- Lead the planning pillars. You challenge the demand planning (raw demand forecast), and build and develop the teams behind supply planning (i.e. turning the demand into the POs) and inventory planning (allocation post PO placement and no waste) – raising the bar on craft and ensuring alignment across the planning organization.
- Build an automated and scalable supply chain. You design the systems, logic and ways of working that move planning and ordering from manual effort toward automation at scale – built around the principle of management by exception: the standard case runs on its own, and people step in on the alerts and edge cases where judgment truly adds value.
- Strong partner across the business. You work hand in hand with Product Development, Procurement, Retail, Marketing, Logistics, Quality and our Data & AI teams to turn commercial ambition into a supply chain that can deliver on it.
- Challenge our demand forecasting. With forecasting accuracy being an important input KPI for product availability, you encourage rigor to forecasting Retail demand – promotions, listings, SKU switches, seasonality – as well as Online demand.
What You Bring
- A clear track record of transforming and automating supply chain processes – taking planning and ordering from manual and reactive to scalable, system-driven and exception-based. You've done this before and can point to the results.
- Proven leadership. You have built and led planning or supply chain teams, and you can develop people while holding a high bar - at KoRo, we lead with clarity and kindness.
- Substantial supply chain experience, including Retail demand planning experience. You have planned demand for the retail channel and understand its dynamics. Experience in an omnichannel model is ideal; if not omnichannel, retail experience matters more to us than a purely e-commerce background.
- KPI ownership mindset. You take full ownership and accountability of the core KPI set of product availability and inventory health (overstock and waste) – and you manage the trade-offs between them with clarity.
- Strong analytical and systems thinking, paired with a pragmatic, build-and-validate approach that fits a fast-scaling company.
- Fluent English; German is a plus.
What's In It For You
- Smart Working & Flexibility: Flexible working hours, hybrid work, and 20 days of workation. We trust you to take ownership: you deliver on our shared goals and structure your day in the way that works best for you. You’ll also start with 28 days of vacation, increasing by one additional day per year of tenure (capped at 30 days), so you always have time to recharge.
- Growth & Setup: A structured onboarding plan to get you started, plus a dedicated development budget for your personal and professional growth. You’ll also receive your own MacBook and a fully equipped office setup with monitors and height-adjustable desks.
- KoRo Vibe & Benefits: Free snacks, and barista coffee in the office, 20% discount in the KoRo Online-Shop, and exclusive perks with partner companies. On top of that, a fully funded BVG ticket (Jobticket), a subsidy for your fitness membership (Urban Sports Club, Hansefit, or FitX), and a company pension scheme (bAV) via Ginkgo.
- Shared Moments: Regular team events and company parties to celebrate milestones and successes together.
We're looking for People who share our Mindset
For us, it's not just about the what, but above all about the how. You'll be a perfect fit for us if you have the following mindset:
- You take initiative and ownership. You don't wait for a perfect brief or a mandate to get started. When you see an opportunity, a risk, or something that can be improved - you act. When things don't go as planned, you look at your own contribution first and step up, without waiting to be asked.
- You thrive in change. Shifting priorities and evolving processes don't slow you down. You adapt fast and keep moving.
- You build, you don't wait. When something is missing - a tool, a process, a solution - you create it. You prefer a working MVP over a perfect plan and iterate from there.
- You think in leverage. You question how things are done, prioritize ruthlessly, and find smarter paths to better outcomes. You don't mistake effort for impact.
- You're a team player, humble and genuinely kind. You collaborate in and across teams, care about the people around you, and bring sparkles to the room. You speak up when you disagree, commit fully once a decision is made, and actively make the people around you better.
