Driven by a pioneering “Unlimited” spirit, the Group operates in 53 countries with 60,000 employees.Our services cover a wide range: airline catering, buy-on-board and duty-free services, restaurants, remote living facilities, railway catering, airport and highway concessions, as well as comprehensive Facility Management solutions.More than just a company, Newrest is a true family, with 97% of its capital owned by over 700 employees.Our activity in Germany :Main activity : Airline CateringKey clients: United Airline, LATAM, Saoudia, Egypte Air… Headcount : 600 peopleWe are looking to hire a procurement director of Newrest Germany Country.Position Overview : As part of the development of its Inflight Catering activities in Germany, Newrest is looking for a Procurement Director to build and lead the country procurement strategy across Food and Non-Food categories.This strategic leadership role is key to supporting business growth, operational excellence, and profitability improvement, with a target of achieving a 5% cost reduction over the next five years while maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety, and customer satisfaction.The successful candidate will join the country leadership team and play a central role in shaping and driving the procurement transformation agenda.Procurement Strategy & LeadershipDefine and implement the procurement strategy for Germany across Food and Non-Food categories. related to the budget and group Strategy.Build a high-performing procurement organization aligned with business objectives.Develop long-term sourcing strategies and supplier partnerships.Drive procurement transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.Cost Optimization & Financial PerformanceDeliver a 5% reduction in procurement spend over the next five years.Lead and optimize theoretical food cost management.Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives through:supplier consolidation,strategic sourcing,product standardization,recipe optimization,international sourcing,logistics optimization.Monitor procurement KPIs and implement corrective action plans when necessary.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with:the Executive Chef,Commercial Department,Operations,Finance,Supply Chain teams.Support recipe and menu optimization initiatives to improve profitability while maintaining product quality and customer experience.Partner with commercial teams on customer tenders and business development opportunities.Supplier Management & SourcingDevelop and manage strategic supplier relationships in Germany and internationally.Secure supply continuity in a volatile and inflationary market environment.Negotiate framework agreements and key supplier contracts.Ensure supplier compliance with quality, food safety, sustainability, and corporate standards.Leadership & GovernanceActively contribute as a member of the country leadership team.Provide strategic input to support business growth and operational performance.Lead change management initiatives and foster a performance-driven procurement culture.Develop, mentor, and strengthen local procurement teams.

Profil Candidate ProfileMaster’s degree or equivalent in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Food Industry Management.Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic procurement roles, ideally within:inflight catering,food manufacturing,hospitality,food service,or international operational environments.Strong expertise in Food Procurement.Proven experience building procurement strategies and delivering measurable savings programs.Strong business acumen with a good understanding of culinary, operational, and commercial challenges.Comfortable operating in multicultural and fast-paced international environments.Key SkillsStrategic thinkingLeadership and stakeholder managementHigh-level negotiation skillsFinancial and analytical capabilitiesProject and change managementResults-oriented mindsetStrong communication and interpersonal skillsEntrepreneurial and hands-on approachLanguagesFluent German – mandatoryFluent English – mandatoryFrench is a plusWhat We Are Looking ForWe are looking for a strategic and hands-on procurement leader capable of building and driving a sustainable procurement strategy, supporting the growth of the Inflight business in Germany, and becoming a key contributor to the country leadership team.
