Job Description Summary GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH) is seeking an Engineering Technical Director – Fuel & Services to join our energetic and diverse Fuel and Digital Engineering team.

The Engineering Technical Director for Fuel & Services will be engineer’s initial point of contact between the installed base engineering teams, product line leaders, regulatory affairs, the project management organization (PMO), and defined customer interfaces to facilitate rapid problem solving.

You will help define requirements, implement new methodologies, and modernize engineering services capabilities in collaboration with Product Managers, Manufacturing, and other key stakeholders across the Installed Base Business.

Job Description Key Responsibilities Model INPO 26-01 Attributes for Effective Nuclear Supplier Performance and Utility Partnership Strong commitment to promoting a strong nuclear safety culture, and prioritizing quality and safety over delivery Able to interface effectively with all levels of engineering, product line leadership, and PMO Lead engineering analysis projects on a production-oriented engineering analysis team.

Provide day-to-day oversight of development and delivery activities, including schedule maintenance, delivery meetings, and execution support to ensure successful implementation of modernized engineering services systems. Lead project teams with strategic oversight to ensure delivery within schedule and cost constraints.

Build consensus, influence stakeholders in a matrixed environment, and mentor project team members as needed.

No individual has a vested right to any benefit under a GE Vernova welfare benefit plan or program. In this role, you will lead engineering analysis projects supporting Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) fuel, safety, services, and thermal-hydraulic analyses across a range of applications.

This position plays a key role in driving Fuel & Digital Engineering project execution, including the digital transformation of engineering services processes and the development of AI-ready, future-focused systems.

The ideal candidate brings a strong passion for nuclear energy, deep industry experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear, actionable solutions.

Partner with Technical Leaders and Controlled Title Holders to execute solutions that address complex technical issues supporting the design, licensing, operation, and monitoring of customer fuel cycles. Develop adaptable, future-ready solutions that support engineers and evolving digital engineering needs.

Provide technical mentoring and facilitate knowledge sharing to support engineering staff development and knowledge management. Manage all aspects of assigned projects, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and resource planning. Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.

Monitor project performance, track KPIs, and report progress to stakeholders and customers. Address variances proactively to maintain project health and delivery commitments. Develop specialized knowledge in nuclear energy and remain current on technical developments in the field.

Use technical expertise and data analysis to support project decisions and recommendations.

Collaborative mindset and demonstrated ability to work effectively with others Demonstrated strong personal commitment, accountability, and determination Ability to communicate with credibility and confidence Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline from an accredited university or college; OR 4 years of hands‑on experience in the nuclear industry such as Senior Reactor Operator or Navy Nuclear experience will also be considered Minimum of 8 years of engineering with 5 years of experience in the nuclear industry and/or project delivery experience.

Eligibility Requirements The preferred work location for this role is at the GVH Headquarters Wilmington, NC or Atlanta, GA, but highly qualified remote candidates will be considered. This role requires access to U.S. export‑controlled information.

Final offers may be contingent upon authorization for access to U.S. export‑controlled information from the U.S. Government, if applicable. Desired Qualifications Master’s degree in engineering or Senior Reactor Operator certification.

Graduate of a GE Vernova technical or leadership program Experience with BWR core simulation and thermal‑hydraulic systems codes. Experience with BWR containment, Fire Safe Shutdown, Annulus Pressurization Loads, and other safety analyses. Knowledge of BWR systems and methods of evaluating integrated plant response.

Knowledge of core nuclear engineering principles, including nuclear physics, thermal hydraulics, and mechanical design as applied to BWRs. Experience with standard engineering work planning and design process techniques. Demonstrated supervision or oversight of contractors in projects. Proven track record managing complex projects.

Strong problem‑solving skills and sound decision‑making in complex situations. Experience working effectively in a matrixed environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build consensus among diverse stakeholders. Strong planning, organizational, and leadership skills.
