Director (m/f/d), Private Equity Performance Improvement - Operations & Supply Chain

The TeamA&M’sPrivate Equity Performance Improvement(PEPI) practice is looking to hire multiple Directors (m/f/d) - Operations & Supply Chain. This role is focused on leading and delivering large, complex engagements for private equity-backed companies, working closely with PE deal teams and operating partners.

You will play a key role in diagnosing operational performance, designing value-creation initiatives, and implementing sustainable improvement across manufacturing, production, and supply chain environments.

How you will contributeGain a comprehensive understanding of a target’s manufacturing and distribution operations-- organization design, production capacity, efficiency, quality, planning, warehousing and team capability Evaluate the maintainability and operability of production facilitiesReview current and historical data to understand efficiency & capacity, including equipment conditions, maintenance logs, spare parts and detailed production numbersProvide shop floor insights by talking with employees and customers and reviewing all available dataIdentify potential cost improvement opportunities through lean improvements, outsourcing or consolidation of facilities Develop transformation plans to drive proposed changes and identify key risks and mitigation strategies Implement and oversee the quality of deliverables and effectively manage the team and day-to-day relationships to ensure

exceptional performance. Qualifications+10 years of combined professional industry and consulting experience, with a minimum of 4 years specializing in manufacturing and/or distribution functionsProven experience working for or with private equity sponsors and PE-backed portfolio companiesDeep functional expertise in one or more of the following areas:Supply Chain Operations, Manufacturing Operations, including S&OP / S&IOP, Footprint optimisation, plant consolidation, and production line transfersManufacturing strategy, CapEx planning, and operational excellence in food environmentsLean, Six Sigma, TOC, and Value Engineering applied to manufacturing efficiency and waste reductionDemonstrated experience engaging with C-suite executives, as well as PE deal and operating partnersFluency to native level in both written and verbal English and German is essential.
