About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to serve as the senior executive responsible for the strategic operation, growth, and development of the organization.
The CEO will act as the primary liaison between the political body and the administration, ensuring the effective execution of the Chief and Council's vision and strategic objectives.
This role involves providing high-level oversight of the organization, day-to-day administrative and program delivery, and a focus on long-term sustainability, governance, and external relations.
The successful candidate will be expected to serve as the primary advisor to the Chief and Council, implement strategic plans, supervise executive reports, and lead the development of organizational policies and strategic initiatives.
Applicants for the CEO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field, with a Master’s degree being advantageous. Extensive experience in a senior executive role with a proven track record in strategic planning and organizational leadership is required.
The role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to navigate political environments, and expertise in contract analysis, negotiation, and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate will also have a deep understanding of the aspirations of First Nations people for self-determination and the socio-economic and community issues in Northern Alberta.
The CEO will be expected to maintain strong professional relationships with various stakeholders and ensure the organization's financial health and alignment with strategic priorities.
