The Position We are seeking a scientifically driven Associate Director to lead a Computational Biology team focused on Cardio-Renal-Metabolic (CRM) diseases and drive computational innovation in drug discovery. If filled in Ingelheim, 20% of travelling is expected to ensure a close connection to the teams in Biberach.
Tasks & responsibilities In your new role, you will lead and manage a team of computational biologists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and scientific excellence.
In this role, you will manage a computational portfolio and work in close collaboration with scientists in the CRM therapeutic area to strengthen confidence in our pipeline and accelerate discovery using advanced data science and computational biology approaches.
You will champion the integration of multi-omics, human genetics, imaging, and clinical data with cutting-edge computational approaches as a foundation and drive innovation by leveraging both internal and external collaborations and capabilities.
As a key member of our growing Computational Innovation Department (@computationalinnovation), you will shape the strategic direction of computational biology within Cardio, Renal and Metabolic diseases, contributing to the discovery and development of transformative therapies that improve patients' lives.
