Role overview

This position pairs hands-on content creation with senior art direction for one of the most recognizable apparel brands in the world. The core of the work is personally producing social-first content end to end, from concept through shooting, editing, and final delivery, while collaborating with a broader creative team that complements the advertising and concepting side of the craft.

Responsibilities

• Concept, shoot, and edit short-form video content tailored for social platforms, shaping raw footage into polished, scroll-stopping assets
• Take ideas from initial spark through to finished deliverables, maintaining the self-sufficiency and range of a nimble maker
• Apply a strong eye for composition, lighting, and platform-native aesthetics so each piece feels both on-brand and authentically of the internet
• Manage multiple on-set responsibilities to deliver high-quality work at pace with a lean crew
• Partner with the wider creative team on concepting and advertising development as the role evolves
• Be present on location for shoots and regular client sessions as needed

Requirements

• A portfolio or social presence demonstrating photo and video content personally created, ideally social-first work both shot and edited
• Confidence and craft in video shooting and editing as the non-negotiable foundation of the role
• Strong creative and brand instincts with either existing advertising sensibility or clear appetite and aptitude to grow into it
• Deep curiosity about internet and social culture, experimenting with new formats and tools before they become mainstream
• Resourceful, entrepreneurial approach with the ability to move fast without waiting for formal process
• Comfort working across multiple formats and platforms with intuitive sense for what resonates online
• Must be locally commutable to the San Francisco / Bay Area for shoots and regular client on-sites

Nice to have

• Photography skills to broaden the content output beyond video
• Motion graphics and animation capabilities to add motion-driven polish
• Color correction and grading experience for footage that reads as elevated social content
• Background from agencies, in-house brands, production, freelance content creation, or unconventional creative paths

Benefits and work setup

• Salary range of $99,000 to $150,000
