Description
The Co-op Refinery Complex (CRC) is hiring a Director, Process Operations on a permanent basis to work on-site in Regina, SK.
Are you ready to lead a dynamic team that plays an integral role in fueling Western Canada? As the Director, Process Operations, you will have the unique opportunity to oversee key operations at one of Canada’s largest integrated refining and upgrading complexes.
At the CRC, we’re proud of our legacy, but we’re even more excited about our future. If you’re a proven leader with a passion for safety, reliability, sustainability, and operational excellence, this is your chance to make a lasting impact. To learn more about the CRC, click here.
What you’ll do:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for all refinery process operations, ensuring safe, reliable, and sustainable plant performance.
- Serve as a key member of the Refinery Leadership Team, helping shape refinery strategy, business priorities, operational excellence initiatives, and long-term growth plans while driving a high-performance culture across the organization.
- Lead departmental performance against operational, safety, environmental, regulatory, quality, and reliability objectives, ensuring process integrity is maintained and operational risks are proactively identified and mitigated.
- Oversee the operating expense budget and optimize refinery operations to maximize profitability through effective planning, resource allocation, and operational efficiency.
- Direct the development and execution of annual business plans, strategic initiatives, capital investment opportunities, and continuous improvement programs, while aligning department objectives with enterprise and refinery goals.
- Build collaborative relationships across refinery departments and external stakeholders, providing visible leadership, developing future leaders, driving employee engagement, leading incident response activities, and championing transformational culture change initiatives.
Who you’ll work with:
The Team: You will lead a large and diverse team responsible for process operations and production support functions across the refinery. Working through department leaders, you will drive operational excellence, collaboration, and safe, reliable performance across the organization.
Why it matters: We fuel Western Canada. Our Refinery strives to be a recognized leader in safety, reliability and sustainability within the petroleum-refining industry.
Who you are: You are looking for a career in operational leadership and:
- Have 10+ years of progressive experience in operations at a petroleum refinery, upgrader, or petrochemical plant. Leadership experience is required.
- Have relevant post-secondary education such as a bachelor’s degree in engineering (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
- Have demonstrated leadership capabilities such as driving engagement, fostering accountability, and inspiring high performance.
- Have a strong understanding of refinery process operations, including operational excellence, process safety, reliability, and continuous improvement principles.
- Are familiar with unionized work environments and understand the operational considerations associated with working within a collective agreement framework.
What we offer:
- Competitive salaries, short-term incentives, a comprehensive benefits package, and an employer-contributed pension plan.
- Encouragement to take advantage of learning opportunities to grow and develop as a Team Member.
- As a co-operative, we do business differently. We believe in working together to serve Western Canadians, delivering profits back to our communities and investing in sustainable growth. To learn more about who we are and what we offer, visit www.fcl.crs .

If this opportunity speaks to you, we invite you to apply by September 7, 2026.
We thank all candidates for their interest, however only those selected to continue in the recruitment process will be contacted. FCLUL
As this position is considered a position of trust and safety sensitive, you may be required to complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and a criminal record check in accordance with CRC policies.
