Stellenbeschreibung
Medical Director (FRACGP) – Preventive & Metabolic Health | Remote | Equity
Primed is a doctor-led practice built around a simple idea: many of today's most common health problems start well before they are diagnosed, and they should be managed earlier and more completely.
We focus on the underlying factors behind poor energy, slow recovery, fatigue, injury and accelerated ageing. Our clinical focus areas are metabolic health and body composition, ageing, recovery and musculoskeletal health.
Every patient is assessed by a doctor, using their history, pathology, lifestyle and goals. Care plans are evidence-led and reviewed regularly. Where it helps the patient, we coordinate with allied health providers.
Prescribing is based on real-time doctor consultations and pathology-led protocols, with documented SOPs and clinical review processes. Clinical governance is the foundation of how we grow. This role exists to strengthen it as we scale.
The role
This is the most senior clinical role in the business. You'll lead our clinical team, own governance and standards, and shape our model of care as we grow.
The role is primarily leadership. You'll also keep your clinical skills current with additional consulting available and remunerated separately.
The role is designed to grow into Chief Medical Officer, with a seat on the executive team and further equity as the business scales.
What you'll own
Clinical governance and compliance. Prescribing standards, clinical risk, quality and audit, all within Medical Board, AHPRA and TGA frameworks.
Models of care. Refine the pathways and protocols behind our programmes, from first assessment through to ongoing review.
Clinical leadership. Lead, develop and support our doctors and clinicians, and set a high standard.
Evidence review. Decide what belongs in our care model, with evidence and patient safety as the filter.
Multidisciplinary care. Build referral pathways with allied health providers.
Cross-functional leadership. Work alongside operations, technology, patient experience and growth, making sure clinical decisions lead.
Growth. Shape new services, partnerships and the clinical side of our expansion.
What you'll bring
Unrestricted AHPRA registration with a specialist fellowship. We welcome FRACGP, FACRRM, FACSEP, FRACP (e.g. endocrinology, general medicine) or equivalent.
Experience leading clinicians or holding clinical governance responsibility
Sound knowledge of Australian regulatory and professional frameworks
Highly regarded
Preventive, metabolic, sports or musculoskeletal medicine
Experience in a startup or fast-growing organisation
Building models of care, protocols or clinical teams
You don't need to tick every box. If the role excites you, we'd still like to talk.
What's on offer
$285,000 base salary + superannuation, with a formal review at 12 months
Additional consulting hours available - paid on top of base
Equity through our Employee Share Option Plan
A defined pathway to CMO and the executive team
Fully remote, with flexible hours around your consulting sessions
Real authority over the clinical direction of a growing practice
Ongoing professional development support [CPD allowance]
