Our long-standing client, a nonprofit social services organization based in Hanover, needs your help. We are looking for a Deputy Director of Human Resources or Labor Law Attorney (m/f/d).

What awaits you

• Deputy Head of Human Resources, overseeing a team of 35 employees
• Led the HR Services & Payroll teams with approximately 20 employees
• Responsible for personnel administration and accurate payroll processing for approximately 3,600 employees in compliance with all labor, tax, and social security regulations
• Contributed to the definition and implementation of the HR strategy
• Process optimization: streamlining, standardizing, and digitizing all HR processes, particularly payroll and employee support
• Point of contact for questions regarding the application of internal regulations, with a focus on compensation, working hours, and employment contracts, as well as their cost-effective and practical implementation
• Project work on cross-functional human resources topics
• Collaborating in a spirit of trust with the works council

What you should bring

• A degree in law, business administration with a focus on human resources, or a comparable degree
• In-depth and proven expertise in labor, tax, and social security law
• Ideally, experience in applying the Diakonie Niedersachsen collective bargaining agreement (TV DN)
• At least 8 years of professional experience working in a company’s human resources department
• Management experience is desirable
• Knowledge of modern standards in HR management and organizational development
• Familiarity with HR information, scheduling, and time management systems, as well as knowledge of payroll software, is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to work well in a team and a customer-oriented mindset, are a given
• Analytical thinking combined with a sense of feasibility and pragmatism
