VP Business Strategy & Partnerships Leadership Bielefeld / Remote Full-time Reports to: CEO The Opportunity The VP Business Strategy and Partnerships is a critical leadership role in which you will directly impact our commercial success.
You will be the custodian of our commercial engine, taking charge of both 'land' and 'expand' motions for our flagship PatientGPT product.
Core Responsibilities Drive New Business Development: Improve and execute the customer acquisition strategy, focusing efforts on our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP): Top-20 Pharma accounts, as well as secondary ICPs.
Execution: Personally lead high-stakes, 'founder-led' style sales cycles to land new blue-chip logos, navigating complex procurement and multi-stakeholder (R&D, Medical Affairs, Commercial) environments.
Partnerships: Own and scale our key channel sales partnership with our partners, designing the processes that manage the deal flow and leveraging their strategic access to create and close big-ticket opportunities.
Account Planning: Develop and implement account-specific growth plans for all main customers, with a focus on developing multiple 'blue-chip accounts' to an ACV of 500,000 EUR each.
Value Articulation: Champion our unique value proposition, moving conversations beyond SaaS to strategic, long-term partnerships built on client-owned, proprietary AI models. Process: Define and manage sales targets, processes, and performance metrics, creating a repeatable and scalable commercial playbook.
Qualifications Required Business Development Experience: 10+ years of consultative and enterprise sales experience selling high-value, complex data, SaaS, or AI solutions. Expert Relationship Builder: Proven experience in developing long-lasting, authentic partner relationships to drive enterprise-wide value with our customers.
Proven 'Land and Expand' Expert: A demonstrable track record of both hunting and closing new multi-six-figure logos (Top-20 Pharma) and farming (expanding) existing accounts to 500k+ EUR ACV.
Pharma Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of the drug development lifecycle and the distinct needs of R&D, Medical Affairs, and Commercial/Brand stakeholders. Preferred Existing Relationships: Active, senior-level relationships within our key target accounts or other Top-20 Pharma companies.
Relevant Tech: Experience selling real-world data (RWD) or real-world evidence (RWE), patient-centricity platforms, or other AI-driven intelligence solutions to Pharma. Partnership Management: Prior success in managing and scaling channel sales partnerships. Why Semalytix?
