Reporting into the Group leadership team, the Site Director will hold full responsibility for the performance of the operation, including site-level P&L ownership and leadership of all local functions.

The Challenge The successful candidate will lead a comprehensive operational transformation across the site, with key priorities including: • Transitioning the manufacturing model from traditional batch production towards single-piece flow • Creating a culture of ownership, accountability, engagement and continuous improvement across the shop floor • Improving productivity and customer delivery performance, including cycle time, on-time delivery and OTIF • Establishing a robust site operating model supported by structured daily management and SQDIP principles • Strengthening problem-solving capability through the consistent use of tools such as A3, 4-box, 5 Whys and root cause analysis • Increasing inventory turns while simultaneously improving deliverability and service levels • Developing visual management, tiered accountability and KPI-driven performance routines • Improving labour productivity, process stability, quality and operational efficiency • Building the capability of the site leadership team and creating a stronger performance culture • Leading all local functions, including Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, HR and Finance, with HR and Finance matrixed into the wider Group structure • Working closely with Group leadership and private equity stakeholders to deliver the site's operational and financial objectives Candidate Profile We are interested in speaking with established manufacturing leaders who can demonstrate: • At least 10 years of senior site leadership experience within discrete manufacturing • Full site-level P&L responsibility within a complex manufacturing environment • A strong track record of leading operational, cultural and organisational transformation • Proven experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies • Experience establishing KPI-driven daily management systems, including SQDIP or SQDCP • Deep knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, flow production, visual management and structured problem solving • The ability to translate Lean tools into measurable improvements in productivity, quality, inventory, lead time and delivery performance • Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management capability • The credibility to engage effectively with employees at every level, from the shop floor through to Group executives and investors • A practical, hands-on leadership style combined with strong commercial and strategic judgement • Fluent German and English language skills Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification would be highly advantageous.

Position Overview Morgan Latif is partnering with a private equity-backed electronics and mechatronics manufacturer to appoint a Site Director for a strategically important operation in Germany. The site employs approximately 270 people and generates annual revenues of around €63 million.

Its production environment is characterised by low-volume, high-mix manufacturing, with a significant proportion of manual assembly processes.

This is a highly visible transformation mandate requiring a hands-on, commercially minded manufacturing leader who can strengthen operational discipline, build organisational capability and embed a sustainable culture of continuous improvement.

Although the site operates within a low-volume, high-mix environment, we are also open to candidates from high-volume, low-mix manufacturing backgrounds who possess a particularly strong Lean toolbox and can successfully adapt flow principles to a more complex production setting.
