THE ROLE & THE TEAM The Zalando Markets organisation is the commercial backbone of Zalando and includes the Market GMs, Commercial Planning and Trading, Pricing Platform, Performance Marketing & SEO and Plus/ CRM. Join our team as Senior Executive Assistant and be at the heart of shaping the future of digital fashion e-commerce.

Your support will be instrumental in ensuring seamless coordination, effective communication and efficient decision-making in the organisation, while also helping to make Markets a great place to work for the teams.

WHAT WE WOULD LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING) • Understand the goals, needs and priorities of the Markets organisation and SVP and act as gatekeeper to their time; help manage their schedule according to the aligned priorities. • Make sure that meetings are properly planned and keep a close eye on the agenda and contacts. • Anticipate the needs and schedules of executive leaders, influence outcomes, and ensure their attention is focused on relevant strategic and leadership priorities. • Help draft internal communication (e.g. newsletters, All Hands, emails and one-pagers) with strategic direction from the Markets leaders/ SVP. • Help push forward various projects (e.g. cross-functional SteerCos, information cascades, inputs and outputs of meetings, coordinating office space) by bringing the right people together and gently but powerfully reminding them of the priorities. • Proactively set administrative processes in motion and execute them effectively in a fast-paced business. • Serve as a central point of contact for (potentially new) administrative processes that affect multiple teams. • Manage travel (i.e. hotel, flight, train, rental car) and process travel (and other) expenses for reimbursement. • Play an active role in building a community by organising team events and supporting the organisation of offsites and workshops; e.g. help coordinate Cyber Week fun and bonding activities, All Hands etc. • Support in the onboarding of new team members. • Exercise a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information (e.g. emails, papers, presentations or meetings) and show professionalism in dealing with senior executives internal and external to Zalando. • Collaborate effectively and closely with the Chief of Staff, Executive Project Manager to Markets, MB Office team, your peers and the extended leadership team on a variety of projects or topics.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR / WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF • Excellent administrative and organisational skills. • Ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities within a fast-paced and changing environment with several senior stakeholders — while understanding all the different interests, positions, and priorities. • Ability to act as a gatekeeper and also be comfortable in saying no when requests are conflicting or not a priority. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English, as well as confidence to communicate with and convince multiple stakeholders and senior management. • Expertise in Google Apps for Business (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Forms, Calendar, Gemini, etc.) and the knowledge of how to leverage these tools for effective collaborative work.
