Oversee the sales and business development teams to drive customer acquisition and retention across key market segments, including big pharma, biotech, and academic/research. Develop strategic partnerships, identify new opportunities, and support sales teams to optimize processes and achieve revenue targets.

Lead the internal marketing team to drive brand awareness, product positioning, and demand generation. Oversee the Product Management team for full product lifecycle—development, launch, and sustaining activities—working closely with R&D and manufacturing to ensure market fit, scalability, quality, and differentiation.

Supervise Technical Application Support and Field Application Specialist teams to provide technical expertise, training, product optimization, and troubleshooting, ensuring customer satisfaction and successful implementation of our products.

Collaborate with R&D, Operations, and Regulatory teams to align commercial and technical objectives, providing market insights to inform product lifecycle management and future innovations. Provide regular reports to the executive team on sales, marketing, and product performance, and implement clear KPIs and performance metrics.

Build, mentor, and lead high‑performing teams, conduct periodic checkpoints, promote accountability, and remove roadblocks while ensuring the team has the resources needed for success. Ability to manage, lead, and motivate a team of direct reports while influencing groups without direct reporting relationships.

Ability to travel internationally up to 25% and stay for longer periods up to two weeks in a row on business trips. Job Summary The Senior Director of Global Commercial Sales and Marketing (Cell and Gene Therapy Technologies) will play a critical role in shaping and executing the company's global commercial strategy within the MedTech CGT division.

Reporting to the Head of Portfolio Management and CMO, this senior leader will oversee all aspects of the commercial operations and P&L management for the CGT business, including sales, marketing, field application support, and product management.

This leadership role requires a strategic vision, operational excellence, and the ability to drive growth in a fast-paced and evolving market. If not near Lake Zurich, candidates should expect to travel up to 40% of the time. Salary Range: $200,000‑240,000.

The position is eligible for an annual bonus plan with a target of 22% of base salary and a medium‑term incentive plan. Final pay determination depends on experience, education, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities Develop and execute the commercial strategy to grow revenue, expand market share, and enhance the organization’s position in the CGT space. Lead business planning, forecasting, and performance tracking to meet and exceed financial and strategic objectives.

Establish and implement short‑ to mid‑term (1‑3 years) strategies that impact business results in alignment with organizational objectives, and provide input for long‑term (5‑10 years) strategies.

Craft and implement integrated marketing campaigns, including digital content, events, and public relations, and represent Fresenius Kabi to customers and industry peers. Research and maintain a deep understanding of the CGT market, technologies, competitors, trends, news, and customer needs to inform short‑ and long‑term strategy planning.

Manage the commercial P&L, ensuring cost control, budget adherence, and financial targets are met. Job Requirements Bachelor’s Degree required. 12+ years of experience, including 10+ years of hands‑on Cell and Gene Therapy technologies/tools product development or equivalent. 7+ years of experience managing people.

Proven experience managing large program portfolios and complex project implementations. Ability to operate effectively within a complex global matrix structure. Excellent general and technical writing skills. Employment is at‑will; there is no guaranteed or permanent arrangement.
