The role leads the Project Team, interfaces with the Client Team, and establishes clear direction to ensure safe, on‑time, on‑budget delivery of the fully integrated build.
The core project management team creates vision, provides leadership, sets targets, manages quality, and ensures adherence to all EHS requirements across all projects. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 h3Weekly Meetings /h3 ul liSchedule and chair meetings with the team, Design team, and the Client. /li liFollow up and ensure timely close‑out of outstanding items. /li liAttend and actively contribute to EHS and QA meetings. /li liAttend morning whiteboard and evening schedule meetings. /li /ul h3Weekly Audits /h3 ul liImplement the Mercury Project audit plan. /li liReview weekly project audits and address open items with the team. /li liDiscuss findings and trends with the Construction Manager, the team and the BU Leads. /li liEnsure audit findings are clearly communicated to all stakeholders and are closed. /li liEnsure all EHS alerts are communicated effectively and campaigns (TBT, Stand‑down, Demonstration) are engaged. /li liEnsure workforce participation. /li /ul h3Mercury Procedures /h3 ul liEnsure Mercury procedures are in place and adhered to on the project. /li liConfirm the team has fully reviewed and understood project specifications and documentation. /li liPlan procurement and ensure engineering is developed to meet deadlines. /li liEnsure all Material Take‑Offs are completed for comparison with subcontractor pricing. /li liReview output quality and foster continuous improvement. /li liAttend planned meetings (TBT, SLT, DABS) regularly. /li /ul h3Client Meetings /h3 ul liAttend client meetings. /li liPromote a strong QEHS approach with the client. /li liIdentify improvement opportunities. /li liShare Mercury reports highlighting positives and negatives. /li liCommunicate where the client approach needs change. /li /ul h3Training /h3 ul liProvide training for the team and subcontractors. /li liSet standards for training requirements for Mercury and subcontractor staff. /li liDevelop the Project Weekly Report and review progress updates with the project planner to keep the project on track. /li /ul h3Weekly Planner /h3 ul liUse project look‑aheads to drive progress. /li liCoordinate with various project teams to meet scheduled dates. /li liFacilitate subcontractor meetings, safety walks, audits, and client interface. /li /ul h3Project Team Management /h3 ul liGuide and assist the project team. /li liAlign expectations with project requirements and ensure clarity. /li liEmpower the Construction Manager to set up a functional site. /li liSet clear expectations and track against KPIs. /li liPerform all other duties associated with this role. /li /ul h3Qualifications and Key Criteria /h3 ul liEngineering Degree or recognised trade qualification. /li li10+ years of experience managing large construction projects as a General Contractor. /li liThorough knowledge of Civil, Structural, and Architectural packages. /li liFlexibility in working patterns where necessary. /li liAbility to efficiently manage a team by setting expectations, delegating, and reviewing. /li liStrong communication and computer skills. /li liAbility to work on own initiative and possess strong interpersonal and communications skills. /li /ul h3Essential Skills /h3 ul liClose attention to detail. /li liGood team‑working skills. /li /ul pMercury is an equal opportunities employer. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr ph3Project Director /h3 pMercury Engineering Switzerland GmbHbr/Vacant since: br/Location: 8152 Glattpark (Opfikon) (ZH) /p pEmployment: Permanent, 100% full timebr/Employment start: By agreement /p h3Role Overview /h3 pMercury is the European leader in construction solutions.
