It is a unique platform to make a meaningful impact. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Marketing Strategy /h3 ul liDevelop and lead the global brand positioning, marketing strategy, and long‑range brand plans for the assigned portfolio within the Franchise, ensuring full alignment with corporate objectives. /li liDefine a clear vision and drive long‑term growth and sustainability. /li liTranslate corporate goals into annual marketing plans and calendars, setting priorities and performance objectives for brands and markets. /li /ul h3Product Launch Lifecycle Management /h3 ul liDevelop and lead integrated product launch plans (from late‑stage development through commercialization) in partnership with cross‑functional and regional teams, ensuring timely execution of pre‑launch, launch, and post‑launch activities. /li liLead competitive readiness initiatives by monitoring market trends and competitors; ensure the team develops contingency plans and responsive strategies to maintain a competitive edge. /li liDefine and implement strategies to maximize product life cycle – including new indications, formulations, or market expansions – to sustain long‑term value for each brand, supporting business case development. /li liLead the global launch readiness for a new mRNA asset, with a planned commercial launch in H1 2028. /li /ul h3Marketing Operations Compliance Oversight /h3 ul liGuide the creation of core promotional tools and training programs for field teams, equipping local commercial teams with the knowledge and resources to promote the products effectively. /li liAudit global marketing content and campaigns, verifying accuracy, ethical standards, and consistency with brand messaging. /li liAct as the point of contact for resolving any issues or opportunities related to business opportunities, marketing practices or product communications in collaboration with Medical, Regulatory, Legal and Patients Engagement functions. /li /ul h3External Engagement /h3 ul liRepresent the company’s brands at major industry and scientific events and conferences to enhance visibility and reputation. /li liWork alongside Medical Affairs teams to engage KOLs and clinical experts, cultivating them as advocates for the company’s products. /li liSupport collaborations with patient organizations on specific projects to ensure the patient perspective is considered in marketing initiatives. /li /ul h3Budget /h3 ul liManage the global marketing budget for the assigned portfolio, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to high‑priority activities and monitoring marketing spend to optimize investment impact. /li liRecommend new investments supported by business cases when needed. /li /ul h3People Management /h3 ul liEnsure the growth and engagement of the Global MedO marketing team by fostering a culture of accountability, empowerment, and continuous development. /li liProvide clear expectations, regular feedback and coaching; support learning initiatives; and promote individual contributions aligned with franchise and company strategy. /li liActively contribute to ensuring a high level of engagement of the cross‑functional team dedicated to the brand/portfolio. /li /ul h3Required Education /h3 pDegree in Business Administration, Marketing, Pharmacy or a related field. /p h3Required Skills and Experience /h3 ul liMinimum 15 years’ of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry with at least 5 years in a senior Marketing leadership role. /li liDemonstrated experience in rare diseases or orphan drugs, ideally in both development and commercial settings. /li liExperience in developing and executing marketing strategies, leading global product/brand launches, influencing senior leaders and managing brands in multiple markets. /li liWorking experience in international contexts, preferably global ones. /li liProven ability to operate in a matrix environment. /li /ul h3Required Behaviours and Competencies /h3 ul liStrategic thinking Global perspective /li liResilience Adaptability /li liProactivity in change, open to innovation /li liCommunication Influencing /li liNetworking and Collaborating /li liResults Orientation /li liProject Management /li liFinancial Acumen /li liManaging People /li /ul h3Required Languages /h3 pFluency in English is required. ph3Job Purpose /h3 pThe Senior Director, Marketing and Launch Lead, Rare Diseases Metabolic and Dermato-Oncology (MEDO) Franchise, will provide strategic marketing leadership and oversight of new product launch to support the continued growth of the RRD portfolio.
S/he will collaborate closely with cross‑functional colleagues globally, namely clinical development, medical, regulatory, market access, commercial and business development.
