Partner Potential | Build-Out & Strategic Responsibility

On an exclusive mandate from a leading, long-term oriented private equity investor, we are looking for an entrepreneurial hunter with real drive to take charge of the further build-out of the Primary Fund Investments business, with genuine potential to grow into a Partner role.

This is deliberately not a role for administrators. We are looking for someone who goes out, opens doors and wins access: a creative, hands‑on investment professional who identifies opportunities before others do, builds relationships proactively and actively shapes the platform’s future.

Your Role – Hunting, Shaping, Building

• Proactive origination of primary fund opportunities: you find, approach and win access to the managers that matter
• Ownership of the full investment process, from sourcing and manager selection through due diligence to commitment
• Identification of top‑tier and emerging managers across buyout, growth and specialist strategies, including access to oversubscribed funds
• Building and expanding a first‑class GP network across Europe, with a particular focus on French‑speaking markets
• Creative development of the primary fund strategy, including new investment approaches, portfolio ideas and product initiatives
• Leading processes with internal and external stakeholders (GPs, LPs, co‑investors, advisors)
• Close collaboration with senior management and direct influence on strategic decisions
• Visible representation of the platform in the market, with GPs and at relevant conferences
• Clear development path towards Partner, with growing economic and strategic responsibility

Your Profile – Drive & Ambition

• Several years of experience in private equity with a clear focus on primary fund investments, fund‑of‑funds, manager selection or LP‑side investing
• A hunter’s mentality: you generate deal flow and access yourself rather than waiting for it
• Creativity, energy and the assertiveness to drive topics forward and get things done
• A strong entrepreneurial mindset and the ambition to become a co‑owner of the business
• High degree of independence, decisiveness and sense of responsibility
• Willingness to relocate to Berlin
• Native‑level French (nationality is irrelevant; what matters is the language level), plus business‑fluent English and German
