Head of Global Flavours Portfolio Management The Opportunity Acting as a key link between commercial, technical, and regional teams, the successful candidate will translate market insights into portfolio strategies that support long-term business growth and customer value creation. Manage and develop a team of +5 portfolio management professionals.
Partner closely with commercial, marketing, R&D, and consumer insights teams across multiple international markets. Analyse market trends, customer needs, competitive activity, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities. Define and implement portfolio strategies aligned with regional and global business objectives. Prioritise innovation projects, investments, and portfolio initiatives based on commercial potential and strategic value.
Develop compelling product positioning and value propositions. Support product launches, relaunches, and portfolio rationalisation initiatives. Monitor portfolio performance through key business metrics and provide recommendations to senior leadership. Drive portfolio transparency, governance, and simplification initiatives where appropriate.
Candidate Profile Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a related discipline. Significant experience in portfolio management, product management, strategic marketing, or a similar function within the flavours, fragrances, ingredients, or related food industry sectors.
Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, market analysis, and business strategy. Demonstrated people leadership experience with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders. Strong analytical and commercial mindset with excellent prioritisation skills.
