You’llbeworkingwithaportfolioofbusinesses,aspirationalgrowingSMEsledbytalentedleadershipteams. You’llbeprovidingthesoundingboardtheyneedaroundthefactorswhichultimatelyimpacttheirmultipleatpointofsale.
You’llbesupportingwithduediligence,reviewingtherobustnessoftheircontrolsandtherelevanceoftheirboardpack. Providingchallengeandsupportaroundtheleversofincomeandprofit,helpingspotopportunitytodrivegrowth,retainmargin.
It’smorethandressingtheshopwindowforthem. It’sreallybecomingthattrustedadvisortobusinessowners/investors/boardplayers. Someonewhocanbepartoftheirgrowthtoexitstoryandaddfinancial/commercialguidanceduringtheplanningandstrategydiscussions.
Required:
- Thisisforsomeonedriven,careerfocusedandproactive.
- You’llhaveasolidtechnicalaccounting(potentiallyhavingstartedyourcareerinpractice).
- You’llprobablyhavealreadytakenanSMEthroughanexitevent–withclearevidenceofgettingthemingreatshapeandsale-ready.
- You’llpotentiallyhaveexperienceofaPEsetting(althoughgettingabusinessthroughtradesaleorperhapsMBO/MBIwouldalsobeveryrelevant).
- Itsforsomeonesharp,intelligentandself-motivated. AcommerciallyawareandmodernFDwhowillenjoybeingpartofgrownupconversationswithavarietyofbusinessowners/leaders.
Youneedtobesomeonewhoisabletobuildrapportwithadiverseaudienceofstakeholders. AproactiveFDwhowillbeabletogetunderthebonnetofseveralbusinessesinyourstableandunderstandwhattheleversofsuccessineachsettingmaybe. It’sacrackingrole–tonsofvariety,M&Aexposure,constantaddedvalueactivity. Loadsofinterestingandexcitingdiscussionsratherthanthegrindofmonthend!
