Responsibilities Optimization and automation of accounting processes (especially AP/AR) Scaling finance processes to support future growth Support business planning and profitability analyses Lead the Finance & Legal team and take responsibility for all recurring finance matters, such as month-end closes and VAT advance returns (USt.-Voranmeldung) Annual financial statements and their audit Invoicing and payments (AP/AR) Controlling and reporting to management Analyze, assess, and automate existing finance processes Prepare business cases for new projects and review commercial contracts from a financial perspective Close collaboration with management and external stakeholders such as tax advisors and auditors Requirements Several years' experience as Head of Finance or Controller in a scale-up or fast-growing startup, including people management experience Hands-on approach with a strong interest in making processes more efficient, automated, and scalable Enjoy leading a team and organizing finance and controlling processes Confident with HGB and IFRS accounting standards and solid knowledge of German tax law Good understanding of financial modelling and data analysis Experience automating accounting tools/systems Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in optimizing and automating accounting processes, with a strong focus on AP/AR, financial modeling, and data analysis.
Proven leadership in managing finance teams and ensuring compliance with HGB and IFRS standards while collaborating with stakeholders.
