Job Description • P&L responsibility for a multi-site specialist manufacturing division of c£50m turnover and 200 heads. • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and operational efficiency for the division. • Oversee and manage the manufacturing operations to ensure high-quality output and compliance with industry standards. • Ensure ongoing operational excellence and development for a market dominant product, whilst developing and growing a product range in a niche sector where the company is currently less dominant. • Foster relationships with external customers and internal stakeholders to drive business development and growth. • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities within the sector. • Collaborate with cross-divisional teams to ensure seamless execution of projects and initiatives. • Manage budgets effectively to achieve financial targets and ensure sustainable operations. • Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and promote a culture of safety and compliance.

The Successful Applicant A successful Divisional Director should have: • P&L responsibility for a multi-site specialist manufacturing business / division. • A background in chemicals, coatings, inks, or a comparable process-based industry. • Proven experience in strategic planning and operational management. • Experience developing and growing a new product line. • Knowledge and experience of batch and process manufacturing. • Experience working and leading in a matrix structure as part of a larger corporate business. • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide teams towards achieving objectives. • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. • Knowledge and passion for Industry 4.0 and the development / implementation of AI tools for manufacturing. • A results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
