Director - Technical Project Leader

Overview In this role, you will shape technically sound, business-aligned CMC project strategy for TRD within the broader EPT/GPT framework. You will lead the CMC team, coordinate with multiple functions and external partners, and navigate risk and contingency planning to keep portfolio priorities on track. You’ll apply drug development expertise and foster innovation using competitive intelligence and AI. This position offers impact through strategic project leadership and cross-functional collaboration, with a clear tie to Novartis’ mission of advancing medicine.

(minimum 2–3) of directly related experience as functional project leader or Associate TPL Strong scientific/technical knowledge in drug development Advanced knowledge in NCE, RLT and xRNA development (preferred) Fundamental GMP and regulatory knowledge Cross-functional understanding (PK/PD, tox, clinical, commercial) Project management skills with hands-on use of PM tools Proficiency in executive presentations Experience utilizing competitive intelligence and AI in technical development Leadership and people management Cross-functional collaboration Strategic thinking CMC program management Risk assessment and mitigation Due diligence (DD) for assets in development
