ppJob Description /p pbReports to: AVP Intercontinental Business Operations /b /p h3Position Summary /h3 pThe Intercontinental Portfolio Lead is a critical leadership role within the Intercontinental (IC) Regional Team.
The Lead also manages 1–2 high‑impact cross‑regional strategic initiatives focused on advancing capabilities, improving execution models, and unlocking growth across Intercontinental markets. /p h3Franchise Leadership Regional Stewardship /h3 ul liAct as the IC lead and spokesperson for the Pharma/Specialty franchise. /li liLead and coordinate the IC franchise community and squads across regions. /li liDrive alignment of strategy, priorities, and execution across markets and sub‑regions (CMOs/RCLs in AP, EEMEA, and LATAM). /li liRepresent IC perspectives in global discussions and governance. /li liAct as the primary interface between Global Franchises and Intercontinental, building strong partnerships across global, regional, and local stakeholders. /li /ul h3Strategy Execution Performance Management /h3 ul liConsolidate global strategies into clear, actionable regional priorities. /li liMonitor, consolidate, and report business performance across the portfolio. /li liIdentify risks and opportunities and drive proactive course correction. /li liEnsure disciplined execution against financial and strategic objectives. /li /ul h3Launch Excellence Portfolio Acceleration /h3 ul liCoordinate regional efforts for launch readiness and launch excellence. /li liDrive lifecycle management priorities and portfolio optimization. /li liSupport execution across both launch and inline assets. /li /ul h3Strategic Initiatives Capability Building /h3 ul liLead 1–2 cross‑regional strategic projects such as localizations, commercial business development, above‑market partnerships, and capability deployment in coordination with cross‑functional teams (Access, Policy, BD, DHH). /li /ul h3Required Experience and Skills /h3 ul liMinimum of 10 years of progressive experience across marketing, sales, access, commercial operations, or related experiences in the pharmaceutical or management consulting sector. /li liBachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MSc, or equivalent) preferred. /li liProven track record in commercial strategy and execution, launch excellence and/or portfolio management, and leading complex, cross‑functional initiatives. /li liExposure to multiple markets and diverse healthcare systems. /li /ul h3Preferred Experience and Skills /h3 ul liDepth of therapeutic‑area expertise in Pharma/Specialty, coupled with Intercontinental region experience (market experience is a strong plus, including PL and people management). /li liDepth of marketing, market access understanding and PL management, as well as a fundamental understanding of the Intercontinental business. /li liLeadership and impact: proven track record of high‑performance launches and driving business results. /li liCollaboration influence without authority: strong collaboration skills within commercial teams and across cross‑divisional teams including RD, manufacturing, medical affairs, outcomes research, and access. /li liCommunication: ability to clearly articulate messages and information across the enterprise and at all levels, including senior leadership. /li liStrategic thinking: proven ability to analyze complex data and create clear patient‑ and customer‑centric strategies. /li liChallenging status quo: ability to push past internal obstacles to drive initiatives forward. /li /ul h3Travel /h3 pPosition requires up to 30‑50 % travel. /p h3Location /h3 pPreference is for this role to be based in Lucerne, Switzerland (Intercontinental HQ).

The position is responsible for driving franchise performance, execution excellence, and strategic alignment across the Pharma/Specialty portfolio.
The Portfolio Lead will translate strategy into execution, accelerate launch readiness, and deliver sustained performance across markets while serving as the primary interface between Global Franchises and the Intercontinental Region.

Hybrid Work Model /h3 pEffective September 5, 2023, employees in office‑based positions in the U.S. will work a hybrid model consisting of three total days on site per week, Monday–Thursday (with Friday designated as a remote‑working day), unless business‑critical tasks require an on‑site presence.
