This role will be responsible for prioritizing teams to meet production targets and business priorities. As a key member of the site leadership team, this role ensures operational readiness for both on market product and new product launches.
This role offers the opportunity to shape and scale critical operations while partnering closely with global teams to deliver impactful products.Key ResponsibilitiesLead site operations to deliver against the build plan, ensuring predictable output to high-quality standardsOwn and manage Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), identifying and executing cost reduction initiativesBuild, lead, and develop a high-performing team, with direct reports ranging from engineers to team leadersManage daily operational escalations across operational functions to prevent line-down situations and minimize disruptionPartner closely with cross-functional teams including QA/RA, customer support and R&D to support sustaining operations / customer satisfaction and successful product introductionsProvide subject matter expertise in manufacturing best practices, lean process improvements, and supplier managementOversee procurement, inventory management, forecasting demand and logisticsKey Supplier managment - picking new suppliers, negotiating supplier agreements, managing materials forecastDrive operational discipline, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives across all operations functionsQualifications & Skills10 years of experience with at least 5 in a key operations leadership positionExperience in ISO 9001 a must, ISO 13485 a plusProven experience managing manufacturing teams for capital equipment; experience with life science instruments and reagent manufacturing a plusStrong background in managing complex supply chains, including long-lead and sole-source componentsExperience working across multiple time zones, particularly Europe and North AmericaDemonstrated success in building a high performing teamDemonstrated success improving processes and scaling operations from early-stage environments to established best practicesAbility to lead through ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and make informed decisions under pressureExperience with global distribution of product (trade compliance experience a plus)Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders across functionsCommitment to building inclusive teams and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvementFluent English is required with French a strong plus10-15% travel availability (Europe and North America)Bio-Techne is committed to product quality, customer satisfaction, continued improvement, minimising environmental impacts and conserving natural resources.
