Director (f/m/x) in Java Backend Engineering As a Director (f/m/x) in Java Backend Engineering, you will set the technical direction for high‑performance backend systems in a latency‑sensitive electronic trading environment and lead a globally distributed engineering team delivering front‑to‑back trading solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities • Define and drive the overall technical vision, architecture strategy, and delivery of end‑to‑end trading platforms. • Lead and develop a globally distributed engineering organization, including mentoring senior engineers and supporting hiring activities. • Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of complex front‑to‑back trading systems. • Evaluate, prototype, and introduce innovative technologies and solutions to address business and technical challenges. • Champion AI‑assisted engineering practices, tools, and frameworks to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency. • Establish and maintain engineering excellence through architecture governance, code reviews, standards, and technical mentorship. • Collaborate with senior business stakeholders, architects, QA, and DevOps teams to align priorities, drive automation, and optimize the software delivery lifecycle.

Your Skills And Experiences • Expert‑level hands‑on experience in Core Java, including multithreading, networking, performance optimization, and scalable system design. • Proven track record in designing, developing, and delivering complex front‑to‑back enterprise systems end‑to‑end. • Strong understanding of modern software architectures, design patterns, industry frameworks, and engineering best practices. • Experience implementing high‑performance, fault‑tolerant, and load‑balanced solutions, supported by solid mathematical and algorithmic knowledge. • Practical experience applying AI within software engineering environments and driving the adoption of AI‑enabled development practices. • Demonstrated success leading and mentoring engineers within globally distributed teams. • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and English language skills, with the ability to engage effectively across both business and technical audiences.
