Drive the feasibility and successful industrialization of new products and processes, ensuring technical excellence, scalability, and alignment with quality and business requirements. /p pbRole Purpose/Mission: /b /p ul liLeads the packaging department, including sub-packaging teams of experts, ensures capabilities and capacity of the teams in the department /li liSteers and tracks the packaging budget Support the Vice President of RD with all topics linked with packaging. /li liIs a technical expert for luxury packaging material, luxury packaging technologies and filling processes and is working together with internal and external network to realize development, optimization (legal, regulatory, quality, strategy, costs, market position), filling and packing of luxury finished goods. /li liKeeps up to date about new technologies, industrial trends and packaging of luxury competitors and proposes regularly new luxury packaging ideas for future products for La Prairie to VP RD and Marketing. /li liEnsures that the sub-teams: ul liDeliver effective packaging, process development and industrialization of a product on time in full and in quality including relevant data (SAP, SOPs, tests, regulatory requirements, specifications, range boards, tools) /li liAssess the feasibility of packaging and production improvements proactively (optimization, efficiency, new technologies) /li liEnsure the compliance of the packaging portfolio (data management) /li liWork on long-term ideas and initiative to be able to fill the product pipeline making proactively proposals to Marketing /li liSelect and releases suppliers according technical requirements, capabilities and procurement strategy /li liSteer change of packaging within the Supply Chain /li /ul /li /ul pbMain Accountabilities: /b /p ul liLeadership skills /li liBusiness understandings /li liIn the technical expertise field, should be able to guide the team with the following: ul liConsultant and support to internal and external network (Marketing, Quality, Supply Chain, Suppliers) /li liDevelopment, validation and approval of moulds/tools inclusive lifecycle management for existing packaging tools /li liHandling of quality issues and improvements (implementation, supplier handling) /li liSupports optimization projects /li liAssesses technical capabilities (timing, quality, cooperation in development, production) and develops suppliers /li /ul /li liShould be able to guide the team with following activities for packaging and process development: ul liDevelopment and Pilot tool contracts /li liTransparent documentation (SAP, Forms, SOPs) and communication of results, milestones to interfaces / stakeholders /li liFinds solution for packaging issues (quality, production, transport) /li /ul /li liReport communication of the results: ul liManage interfaces within Supply Chain and Marketing related to packaging or quality projects /li liEnsure regular reporting according to agreement /li liRisk assessment of packagings, filling activities and find ways to reduce risks of supply /li liDefine packaging strategy to update portfolio /li /ul /li /ul pbKey Interfaces: /b /p pInternal: /p ul liGQM /li liGPM /li liSupply Planning /li liMarketing /li /ul pbExternal: /b /p ul liSuppliers /li li3PMs /li /ul pbKnowledge, Skills and Experience: /b /p ul liPackaging engineer or comparable Education /li liMin. 15 years experience in luxury packaging development /li liMin 5 years experience leading a team /li liOrganizational skills /li liFluent in English, good german language knowledge is beneficial /li /ul /p ppSelect how often (in days) to receive an alert: /p pLA PRAIRIE -br/ The Luxury skincare house where audacious innovation has cultivated a pioneering approach to beauty.br/ A place where heritage and creativity are infused with the values of care, passion, entrepreneurship and excellence.br/ A place where dedicated and diverse professionals each contribute to an inspiring and unique environment.br/ A place for careers to grow and flourish and where our sustainable foundation nourishes talents and futures.br/ LA PRAIRIE.
