Purpose of the Role Reporting to the Executive Director, Sport Games, the Director, Endurance will lead a team of professionals dedicated to administering the Discipline and fostering a collaborative environment.

Oversee and coordinate the various FEI Endurance Championships Management of the Department Prepare and present required reports at Board meetings; Implement objectives for the department defined with the Endurance Committee; Manage and follow-up on the department’s annual budget; Manage the department team members; Oversee the advancement of all sports-specific projects in the department; Provide administrative direction and oversight for all department activities.

Other languages are a plus; Ability to interact with sensitivity, efficiency and professionalism with different stakeholders of different cultural backgrounds; strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills; Proven management and leadership skills; Ability to respect strict deadlines and to handle high-pressure situations with poise and confidence; Strong communication and presentation skills; Good team player; Large flexibility to travel.

The retained candidate will provide strategic leadership to the Department, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations that align with organisational goals.

Deliver efficient, high-quality services to National Federations and stakeholders, while maintaining a strong collaboration with the Chair of the Discipline Committee, and support the Organising Committee in achieving its objectives.

Key Responsibilities Management of the Discipline Define the Strategy for the Endurance Discipline, set objectives and yearly roadmap; Lead the Endurance Department in the implementation and follow-up of all strategies; Approve draft schedules for all FEI Endurance events; Monitor educational programmes for Officials; Monitor and follow-up on performance of Endurance Officials and Organisers; Establish regular contact and liaison with the Endurance Committee Chair and Members.

Communications Actively communicate with the different departments within headquarters and update them especially on Endurance activities and Committee decisions which could have an impact on the other departments’ responsibilities; Respond to various requests on communications-related issues.

Liaise with relevant stakeholders Monitor educational programmes for officials; Monitor and follow-up on performance of Officials and Organisers; Establish regular contact and liaison with the Committee Members. FEI representation Attend major and defined sporting events and meetings; Act as a spokesperson for the Endurance Discipline.

Position Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration or equivalent. Significant experience in equestrian sports; knowledge of the Endurance Discipline is an advantage; Perfectly fluent in English.
