Our client is a well-established international shipping company operating a modern dry bulk fleet with a strong reputation for operational reliability and commercial performance. They are now seeking a Deputy Director of Operations to oversee the day-to-day execution of time and voyage charters while leading the operations team.
The requirements for this role are:
• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping & Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 8 years of dry bulk shipping operations experience
• Prior team leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of Time Charter and Voyage Charter operations including NYPE and GENCON forms
• Experience handling operational disputes, cargo claims, or arbitration preparation
• Fluent in spoken Mandarin
• Fluent written and spoken English

The successful candidate will also maintain key relationships with charterers and brokers while ensuring operational compliance and efficiency across the fleet.
