Overview International Bridges to Justice (IBJ) is a not-for-profit non-governmental organization dedicated to guaranteeing all individuals the right to competent legal representation, protection from cruel and unusual punishment, and a fair trial. Coordinate the work of all international offices of IBJ in alignment with its mission.

Lead initiatives to integrate technology, including artificial intelligence, into IBJ’s access to justice programmes, and supervise the technology team.

Oversee financial processes: audit, payroll, benefits, insurance, and project accounting, and produce financial statements, narrative and financial reports to donors, the Finance Committee, and tax returns.

The Deputy Director is a full-time, results-oriented leader who works with the President and CEO and senior staff to implement the organization’s vision and lead its expansion from its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. Responsibilities Work closely with the CEO to implement the organization’s vision, mission, and strategy.

Support strategic and lead operational planning processes and set organizational priorities. Contribute to the fundraising strategy and oversee all fundraising and development efforts, including drafting proposals. Manage expansion of the organization, including new projects and initiatives. Manage outreach and communication channels.

Develop new networks of supporters (legal and non-legal) and coordinate them to facilitate the organization’s outreach and impact. Develop and manage organizational and operational systems and processes. Oversee program and organizational budgeting, financial planning, and ensure accountability and compliance with grant agreements.

Supervise IBJ staff, volunteers, and interns, and manage human resource systems, including recruitment and performance review processes. Monitor and lead risk management, including risks from emerging technologies. Qualifications At least 10 years of relevant experience. Exceptional written communication skills.

Fluent English; native speaker preferred. Graduate degree (e.g., JD, MBA, MPA). Demonstrated leadership, management, and organizational competency. Proven success in operations and project management, including large donor-funded projects. Proven success in non-profit fundraising and development.

Experience supervising and motivating a diverse group of professionals in multiple disciplines, including lawyers, in a multicultural environment. Good knowledge of technological solutions in a legal environment. Strong interpersonal skills. A high level of responsibility and accountability.

Integrity and professional discretion when handling confidential matters. Experience in operational growth and development of an organization. Strong planning, time management, and delegation skills. Entrepreneurial creativity and flexibility when facing challenges. Optimistic, hopeful personality with a pragmatic can‑do attitude.
