As an experienced Credit Risk Sanctioner (VP), you will play a critical role in supporting sound credit decision-making and enabling business growth, while protecting the bank's credit risk profile.

This is a great opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth, corporate, and institutional clients, while partnering with key stakeholders and developing your leadership capabilities within a Swiss private banking entity.

Responsibilities Some key responsibilities you will have include: Analysis of lending applications, financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documents to assess the borrower's creditworthiness and repayment capacity.

Monitoring the performance of the Swiss credit portfolio, identifying potential risks and early warning signs of credit default. Evaluation of the risk profile of each application considering factors like industry trends, borrower financials, collateral, and market conditions.

Provision of independent credit decisions on lending applications, adhering to established credit policies, risk parameters, and regulatory requirements. Development and implementation of appropriate course of action for troubled lending, including workout plans, restructuring, or collections.

Collaborate with key stakeholders within the business, including Credit Structuring, Front Office, Legal and Operations.

Qualifications To be successful as a Credit Risk Sanctioner (VP), you should have experience with: Credit risk management and sanctioning, with a proven track record of applying sound risk judgement in a private banking environment.

Strong understanding of banking products, client behaviours, and market dynamics within the Swiss Private Banking environment. Stakeholder management and leadership, with the ability to influence senior partners, build trusted relationships, and drive effective outcomes.

Valued additional skills Knowledge and experience within the mortgage lending business in Switzerland, UK and France (incl. Monaco). Proficiency in English and French, any other language is a plus.

Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/processes; deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches of policies/procedures.

They may also lead a number of specialists to influence the operations of a department, in alignment with strategic as well as tactical priorities, while balancing short and long term goals and ensuring that budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.
