Contract Position Title
Catholic Worship Director/Musician (1099 contractor)
Scope of Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, implement and perform music for Catholic worship services and special services requested by the Catholic chaplain and/or Installation Chaplain at the Geilenkirchen NATO Air Base chapel.
Conduct rehearsals and coordinate with volunteer musicians and vocalists. Consult with the Catholic chaplain to determine musical requirements for each service and ensure music is approved at least 72 hours in advance.
Submit names and qualifications of proposed substitutes for approval at least 14 calendar days before any absence; substitute must meet the same qualifications. Pay for substitute(s) and complete all facility and fund requests accurately.
Education and Experience Requirement Minimum one year of experience in the last five years leading music in a Roman Catholic worship setting. Proficiency in both piano and organ accompaniment, including the ability to select suitable hymns for organ-led Catholic liturgy.
Ability to coordinate and select music that aligns with the Catholic liturgical calendar and various liturgical settings. Effective verbal and written communication in spoken and written English. Minimum one year of related experie
