Position Title Associate Medical Director – Post Acute Care Anticipated End Date April 24, 2026 Sign‑on Bonus $10,000 Schedule 11:00 AM–8:00 PM CT (weekdays). Part‑time options available with at least one weekend day per week.
Remote Work This role enables associates to work virtually full‑time, with the exception of required in‑person training sessions. Candidates not within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s) will not be considered, unless an accommodation is granted as required by law.
Job Description The Clinical Operations Associate Medical Director is responsible for supporting the medical management staff to ensure timely and consistent medical decisions for members and providers.
Responsibilities • Ensure timely completion of clinical case reviews for the board‑certified specialty. • Make physician-to-physician calls to gather medically appropriate information for medical necessity determinations of requested services. • Make medical necessity determinations for grievances and appeals appropriate for the specialty. • Ensure consistent use of medical policies when making medical necessity decisions. • Bring to supervisors any case review decisions that require Medical Director review or policy interpretation.
Minimum Requirements • MD or DO with board certification approved by American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA); active unrestricted medical license.
Preferred Experience, Qualifications, and Capabilities • 3 years of clinical experience post residency, preferably in inpatient post‑acute care. • Board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehab preferred. Salary and Locations Salary range: $179,503–$307,732. Locations: California, Illinois, Nevada, Washington State.
Job Level and Family Non‑Management, Non‑Exempt. Job Family: MED > Licensed Physician/Doctor/Dentist.
