Key Responsibilities
• Support the Director of Nursing/PIC in the overall management of the nursing home.
• Lead and supervise the nursing team while promoting best clinical practice.
• Ensure residents receive safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
• Support compliance with HIQA standards, governance and quality initiatives.
• Assist with staff supervision, mentoring and performance management.
• Monitor clinical documentation, care planning and medication management.
• Promote infection prevention, health and safety and safeguarding best practice.
• Act as Person in Charge in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
Requirements
• Registered General Nurse with active NMBI registration.
• Previous leadership experience within a nursing home setting.
• Strong understanding of HIQA standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
• Ability to motivate teams and promote a positive culture.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional care to older people.
